Debit Order Facility Requirements

The page lists all the supporting documents we will require in order to provide your business with a debit order facility.

Close corporation (CC) requirements

Repayment Model (Retention)

Repayment terms:

From: 90% on day 1, 10% day 40 + 10% security.
(To be negotiated based on risk profile)

Standard requirements:

  • FICA Requirements
    • Verified and clear identity document copies of each member
    • Proof of residential address of each member (E.g. municipal account/telephone account/lease agreement/etc.)
    • Proof of trading address of business (E.g. municipal account/telephone account/lease agreement/etc.)
  • Corporation documentation
    • CK 1 – Registration of Close Corporation/ Founding Statement
    • CK 2 – Registration of an amended founding statement (if applicable)
  • Corporation bank statements (original bank statements/ bank stamped statements for last 3 months)
  • Basic corporation profile (brief description of your business, products or services)

Company (PTY) Ltd requirements

Trust requirements

    • Verified and clear identity document copies of each trustee
    • Proof of residential address of each trustee (E.g. municipal account/telephone account/lease agreement/etc.)
    • Proof of trading address of business (E.g. municipal account/telephone account/lease agreement/etc.)
  • Trust documentation
    • Deed of Trust
    • Any deeds of amendment of Trust Deed
    • Letters of Authority
    • Names and addresses of all trustees, auditors and officers.
    • If married in community of property – Marriage certificate and spouse’s ID
    • If married out of community of property – Copy of Ante nuptial contract
  • Trust bank statements (original bank statements/ bank stamped statements for last 3 months)
  • Basic profile (brief description of your business, products or services)

Additional requirements for call centres

If you sell products telephonically and/or make use of voice mandates (call centre) the following is required:

  • Confirmation of membership with the Direct Marketing Association (DMA)
  • Business plan
  • List of products or services being sold
  • Terms and conditions relating to products or services being sold
  • Indicate who owns the products or services being sold – if reselling then provide contracts to support the authority to sell the products or services
  • Indicate whether a paper or voice mandate is being used (or both)
    • If paper mandate is used then provide a copy
    • If voice mandate is used then provide a clear recording
  • Copy of confirmation documents sent to clients within 3 weeks (21 days) of successful sale
  • Proof of capability to retain voice mandates for 5 years (specify how you will retain voice mandates on company letterhead)
  • Complaints and cancellation policy
  • Indicate how leads are generated – if leads are being bought a copy or extract will be required
  • Site visit from a Direct Debit representative (to be conducted at your trading address)
